Caren Bistany
Founder and Principal Caren Bistany is an award-winning designer of custom cabinetry with more than 35 years of experience and an impeccable reputation in the industry. Her holistic approach to creating high-end kitchens and living spaces is backed by creativity, attentiveness, and strong technical knowledge.
An avid cook who appreciates the kitchen as the heart of family life, Caren considers it a great honor to help her clients realize their own dreams for a perfect kitchen and home. She employs her love for architecture, millwork, interior design, and fine art to serve her clients with inspired designs centered on the client’s taste and lifestyle. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures a flawless final result.
Caren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interior design from Appalachian State University with further studies in Europe through the University of Georgia. She is certified by the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification). Caren and her husband Bo are lifelong Charlotteans and raised two children here.
Tracy Gales
Tracy Gales has served as Caren’s Senior Designer since 1999. Tracy works in sync with Caren on all projects from beginning to end. Her absolute attention to detail helps clients transform their living spaces into the home of their dreams.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Winthrop University with a concentration in interior design. Tracy lives in Shelby with her husband, Tommy, and four children, Cameron, Brooklyn, Adyson, and Mia.
Maggie Blackwelder
Maggie Blackwelder joined the team as office manager in 2022. She plays a key role in day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, managing orders, and tracking project details. Maggie utilizes her organizational and customer service skills to help keep the office running smoothly.
Maggie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Appalachian State University and lives in Mint Hill with her husband, Erik, and two daughters, Caroline and Ellen.
